Entering his sixth season (no season was held in 2020 due to Covid-19) as the offensive line coach and run game coordinatory is former Cerritos all-conference selection Phillip Garcia. A two-year starter for the Falcons, Garcia was a 1st Team all-conference selection his freshman season. He then earned a scholarship to the University of Arizona, where he was a two-year letterman for the Wildcats. While with Arizona, he blocked for former NFL quarterback Nick Foles and played alongside Rob Gronkwoski.
Upon graduation, Garcia was hired as the offensive line coach at his alma mater, Schurr High, where he stayed from 2011-12. He then moved to Biship Amat High, where he coached from 2013-17 and helped lead them to three league titles.
While prepping at Schurr High, Garcia was a three-time letterman and helped them to three consecutive league titles, while earning all-league recognition.
Garcia earned his Bachelor’s degree in Religious Studies from the University of Arizona in 2010.
Garcia, 36, and his wife Jessica have been married for 14 years, have three children – Nevaeh (14), Ezekiel (12) and Matthew (4) and reside in El Monte.
