Cerritos College Track & Field (2013): Came in 10th place at the Southern California Championships in the 3000 meter steeplechase (9:58.10) after finishing in sixth place at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the 800 meters (2:09.84), 1500 meters (4:15.13), 3000 meters (9:06.79) and 5000 meters (16:04.81) during the season…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2012): Helped the team come in sixth place at the State Championships by placing 96th in a time of 21:52.38, while he came in 22nd place in the South Coast Conference Championships in 20:48.83 as the team won the title… Posted a time of 26:47.9 to come in 45th place at the Grand Canyon Invitational, while his time of 21:05.50 earned him a 16th place finish in the Lou Vasquez Invitational… Took 15th place at the Coast Classic Invitational with a time of 21:24.25…..

ECC Compton Center Cross Country (2011): Came in 75th place at the State Championships with a time of 21:31.88 after placing 68th in the Southern California Championships with a clocking of 21:39.46… In the South Coast Conference Championships, his time of 23:01.00 earned him a 13th place finish…..

Long Beach Poly HS: As a member of the track and field team he earned the team’s Most Improved Player as a senior after receiving their Best Newcomer Award as a senior… Team won the state championships his senior season… Specialized in the 800 meters (2:06), 1600 meters (4:40) and 3200 meters (10:13)… Spent one season on the cross country team and posted a personal best time of 15:52… Also spent three years on the soccer team…..

Personal: Most memorable moment was his first cross country race and placed 37th with a time of 15:52… Aspires to be an athletic trainer…  Hobbies include playing pool and competing in sports… Nicknamed “Jon”… Has two siblings – Edwin (19) and Naomy (14)… Is the son of Carlina Villa… Born in Long Beach, CA on February 20, 1993…..
