Joining the Cerritos College women’s basketball coaching staff for her first season, Sydnee Wynn will be taking on her first college coaching assignment. Previously, Wynn has helped run summer camps throughout high school and college, as well as elite camps.
In her playing days, Wynn started her collegiate career at the University of Incarnate Word (TX), where she played her freshman season. She averaged 7.1 points and 7.7 rebounds, which included a season-high 20 points against the University of New Orleans. Wynn then transferred to New Mexico Junior College, where she was a WJCAC All-Conference pick after averaging 11.8 points and 9,0 rebounds a game. She helped them to the NJCAA D1 Women’s Championship Tournament, where Wynn was named All-Tournament both seasons. She also helped them advance to the national Championship game after winning the conference title. She then continued her playing career at Arkansas Tech University for two seasons and averaged 6.8 points and 5.7 rebounds a game.
A prep star at Eustace (TX) High, Wynn was a 1st Team All-State and 3A Region District 12 Most Valuable Player as well as a senior and McDonald’s All-American nominee.
Wynn, 26, earned her Bachelor at Arts degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Education at Arkansas Tech in 2022. She resides in Long Beach.
