Joining the staff for his first season is former Cerritos College two-time All-American and 3C2A State Champion Armando Murillo. As a sophomore for the Falcons in 2022, Murillo won the state title at 165 pounds, went 21-0 on the year, while the team finished in third place overall. In his freshman year, Murillo posted a 21-4 record at 165 pounds and concluded the year third at the state championships. Murillo was also a two-time Southern California champion.
He prepped at Rowland Heights High, where he was a two-time state qualifier and a CIF Champion.
Murillo then transferred to North Central (IL) College, where he was a two-time Academic All-CCIW (College Conference of Illinois & Wisconsin). He posted a combined 17-15 record over his two seasons.
Murillo, 24, earned his Bachelor of Science degree from North Central College in Exercise Science in 2025. He resides in Whittier.
