Cerritos College Track and Field (2013): Qualified for the Southern California Prelims in the 1500 meters (4:51.75) after placing seventh at the South Coast Conference Championships… Also competed in the 5000 meters (19:08.41)…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2013): Was instrumental in the team coming in fifth place at the state championships by coming in 46th place overall in a time of 19:33.59, while her time of 21:09.94 put her in 87th place at the Southern California Championships… Was 26th at the South Coast Conference Championships with a time of 20:38.0… Also placed 19th in a time of 24:30.80 at the UCLA Double Dual, while her time of 19:23.49 put her in 12th place at the central Park Classic… Came in fourth place at the Lou Vasquez Invitational with a clocking of 19:23 and completed the SoCal Preview Meet in 21:40.23, which put her in 72nd place…..

Cerritos College Cross Country (2012): Helped the team finish in sixth place at the state championships by finishing in 68th place with a time of 20:00.27… Did not compete in the Southern California Championships or South Coast Conference Championships… Placed 14th at the Mt. San Antonio Invitational with a time of 19:03, while her time of 20:51.3 put her in 54th place at the Grand Canyon Invitational… Finished in ninth place with a time of 19:24.60 at the Lou Vasquez Invitational and posted a time of 20:47.21 to come in 40th place at the Coast Classic Invitational… Finished the Mark Covert Classic in a time of 20:02.1 to come in 41st place…..

Cerritos HS: Spent four years on the cross country and track and field teams, as well as two on the basketball team… While on the track team she specialized in the 1600 meters (5:29) and 3200 meters (11:54)… Helped the cross country team win the league championship…..

Personal: Aspires to be a writer… Would like to transfer to the University of San Francisco or Cal State Northridge… Hobbies include knitting, reading and writing… Has six siblings – Alex, Andy, Artie, Johanna, Baldemar and Larissa… Is the daughter of Victor Avila and Patricia Perez… Born in Norwalk, CA on February 3, 1994…..
