Joining the coaching staff for her second season, Villada spent two seasons as a member of the Falcons men’s wrestling team from 2017-18, but did not compete in any matches. She then transferred to Colorado Mesa University, where she competed during the 2019-20 and 2021-22 seasons.

As a junior, she posted a 9-12 record and competed in the Women’s Collegiate Wrestling Coalition (WCWC), while also coming in second place at the Maverick Open. In her senior season, Villada was a NCWA Scholar All-American, while on the mat, she took sixth place at the NCWWC Southwest Regional Qualifiers.

A graduate of Downey High, Villada posted a 10-2 record in her only season on the wrestling team and also captured the championship of a tournament.

Villada, 26, earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Colorado Mesa University in 2022.
