After a season where he led the Cerritos College men's soccer team to the 4th Round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs, goalkeeper Griffin Welch (Long Beach Poly HS) has signed with Concordia Irvine University. A 2nd Team All-South Coast Conference South Division selection, Griffin had a standout season for the Falcons.

Posting a 15-3-4 record as a transfer freshman from UC Riverside, Griffin recorded a 0.92 goals against average and made 83 saves on the year. He played a hand in all 10 shutouts on the year, with six of them full 90-minute games. He turned away a season-high eight shots against El Camino College and made seven stops against Rio Hondo College, Pasadena City College and Hartnell College.

Griffin will be joining an Eagles team that will be looking to replace senior goalkeeper Andre Flores and has a very good opportunity to step into that role.
