In her sophomore season, Cerritos College thrower Dimitra Vitogiannis won the 3C2A State Championship in the discus and helped the Falcons to a second place team finish. She turned that success into a scholarship and signed with UC Santa Barbara. Vitogainnis, who won the championship with a distance of 44.79 meters, holds the college's fourth best throw in school history at 46.40 meters, which she set at the Southern California Championships. Another Falcons thrower has also signed with a four-year school, as Milika Burdett will be transferring to the University of Hawai'i. 

In addition to winning the state title in the discus, Vitogiannis also qualified in the hammer and came in 11th place. She won the South Coast Conference championship in the event with a personal best distance of 45.12 meters.

As a freshman, Vitogiannis qualified for the Southern California Championships in the discus, hammer and shot put.

Milika Burdett signed with the University of Hawai'i Burdett qualified for the 3C2A State Championships in both the hammer and shot put. Her distance of 47.91 meters in the hammer earned her a fourth place result, while she took sixth place in the shot put with a throw of 11.94 meters. Her personal best toss of 49.11 meters in the hammer at the Southern California Championships was the third best in the state this season, while her state championship distance in the shot put was a personal best and 10th best in the state on the year. As a freshman, Burdett took 10th place in the hammer at the state championships.

She joins a list of Falcons who have also made their commitments for next season. They include Andrea Alvarado (Cal State San Marcos), Natalie Bailey (Sonoma State University), Lauren Berg (UC Irvine), Delilah Chavez (Cal State Long Beach), Alona Davis (Cal State Long Beach), Megan Feitz (Pacific, OR University) Leslie Juarez (Cal State East Bay), Elena Mack (UC Riverside), Samantha Martinez (Cal State Long Beach), Jessica McLennan (Cal State Fullerton), Zharia Taylor (UC Irvine), Andrea Villalta (Cal State Stanislaus) and Alyssa Zabala (Cal State Long Beach).
